Consuelo Vela is a native of San Antonio. She received her BA in

Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Geography from the University of

Texas at San Antonio. She plans to attend Incarnate Word University to begin

coursework on an MA in Education next spring.

 

Mrs. Vela has traveled extensively, visiting over 12 countries. She and her

husband had the opportunity to teach in South Korea, Austria, and the Czech

Republic. Students can count on Mrs. Vela to bring her enthusiasm for

discovering new cultures and her love for travel into the classroom.

 

Outside of school Mrs. Vela has hobbies that include: reading, volunteering

at the Animal Resource Center, painting, mountain biking, hiking, and

spending time with her pets.
