SPS Reminders
2008/2009 REGISTRATION FEE REMINDER:
The following registration fees are due NO LATER THAN 6/1/08
$365.00- Books/supplies/ins/party
$35.00- PTC dues (made payable by seperate check to St. Peter's PTC).
It is very important that these fees be paid on time as these fees will be used to begin purchasing books and supplies needed for the upcomming school year.
If you plan on mailing in payments, make sure it is postmarked by 6/1/08. If you plan on dropping off the payments, make sure to do so by Friday 5/30/08 3:30 PM as the 1st is on a Sunday. Failure to make payments by the deadline will cause a $50.00 late fee to be assesed, no exceptions.
2008/2009 TUITION REMINDER:
If you selected prepaid tuition plan, your annual tuition is due NO LATER THAN 7/1/08. If you will be mailing in the payment, please make sure it is postmarked no later than 7/1/08. If you will be dropping off a payment, make sure to do so no later than 7/1/08 by 3:30 PM.
If you selected the 12 or 11 month tuition payment plans, they will need to be set up on either automatic bank draft or automatic credit card charges. You will be sent forms through the mail very soon to do this or please contact Dawn Guajardo at 822-1265 with questions. The 12 month plan begins in June and the 11 month plan begins in July.
ARCHBISHOP'S ANNUAL TUITION AWARDS PROGRAM:
Applications for the Archbishop's Awards Program is funded through the Archbishop's Appeal. Applications can be picked up at either school office. The return deadline is Monday 5/19/08 at either school office.. This program is not a full scholarship, but does provide some monthly assistance for tuition. There is an income eligibility chart included with the application to assist in determining if you are eligible for the assistance. The following are qualifications for this assistance:
1. The student must be Catholic
2. The family must be registered and active in a Catholic parish in the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
3. The student must be accepted in grades K thru 12 in a Catholic School
4. The houshold must qualify for the Federal Free & Reduced Price Mel Progra
5. An official copy of W-2 form(s) or 2007 Income Tax Retruns must be be submitted with the application for all working members of the child's household.
8TH GRADE GRADUATION SKYROOM DINNER INFO:
All persons that will be attending the Skyroom Graduation Dinner MUST RSVP and pay by 5/15/08 to Dawn Guajardo (822-1265).
ALL FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS FOR 8TH GRADE STUDENTS MUST BE CLEARED BY 5/15/08 TO RECEIVE GRADES, DIPLOMAS AND TRANSCRIPTS.

Spirit dollars we purchased
the TV Stands for the New Televisions
that are in the classrooms! This
purchases totaled to $2027.41. Our new
balance is $419.69 for May. Thank you for

****Voting for the 2008/2009 St. Peter’s School Council begins today, Monday, May 12 and will run through Friday, May 23. Ballots and information on council candidates is available in the school offices located in the primary building and in the annex. Parents and parishioners are eligible to vote. Voting will also occur at the May 16 end of year barbeque celebration.****

event will take place in the Parish Hall
at 6:00pm beginning with a short meeting and presentation pf the 2008-2009 PTC
Executive Board and offer our appreciation of the outgoing officers. So bring
the entire family and allow us to thank YOU for another wonderful school year.

Great News from St. Anthony’s H.S.
Jose Jurado came by to visit. He brought us some great news that we need to share.
The top students for the 9th, 10 and 11th grade are all St. Peter's Graduates.

CYO Uniforms.
If you still have soccer shorts or basketball uniforms, boxes will be available in front of both offices to return them. Please turn in all uniforms before the end of the school year.
2nd Grade Canned Goods
The 2nd grade classes are trying to collect canned goods for St. Vincent de Paul's pantry. The pantry is very low during the summer months and the 2nd grade students would like you to help them fill their pantry.
They could use any food item for their pantry that you might have in your pantry. I would like to have each student bring something every week for the month of May so that we can help St. Vincent de Paul for the summertime. Thank you, Dorsey Crane
THERE ARE STILL A FEW MORE OPPORTUNITIES TO GET THOSE FAMILY SERVICE HOURS COMPLETED. LISTED BELOW ARE JUST A FEW WAYS TO GET THOSE HOURS COMPLETED FOR THIS YEAR!
PTC Bar B Que is Friday, May 16 and the PTC/KoC will once again host this Annual End of the year Bar-B-Que. We will certainly need help in setting up, decorating, serving and cleaning up after the event, please contact Priscilla Gonzaba at 262-7407.
Field Day is May 21 and Mrs. Littlefield will need help in setting up the events, manning the events and then for clean. This is an all day event. Please call Maria at the Annex Building at 828-1777.
8th Grade Graduation is Thursday, May 22 and our 7th grade Homeroom Parents will need help to decorate, serving during the reception and clean up; please call either Anna Gonzaba at 733-7406 or Roxanne Garcia at 534-7856 to volunteer.
The School Office has copies of the Service Hour Forms or you can print them from the St. Peter’s Website. The Service Hour Forms should be filled out, signed by the person in charge of the event and turned into the School Office once you have received the appropriate signatures.
