Ms. Kothmann, a native Texan, attended Providence High School; earned a B.S. degree in Science education from the University of Houston, and a Master’s degree in Allied Health Teacher Education and Administrative Leadership from the University of Houston and Baylor College of Medicine.

 She has worked as an Instructional Design Specialist at the University of Texas Health Science Center and the University of Kentucky; Chief Administrator of the Southwest Oncology Group; Training Specialist for the U.S. District Clerk, Western District of Texas; and as the Associate Director of Education and Prevention at the Cancer Therapy and Research Center.

 She is beginning her 4^th year as a middle school science teacher at SPS.
