I was born and raise on a farm in Iowa. After I graduated from high school, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English and French Education from Buena Vista (College) University in Storm Lake, IA.  The French has been lost over the past 40+ years of living in San Antonio.  I received a Masters of Education degree in Mid-Management and School Counselor from OLLUSA.

I retired in 2000, having worked 31 years in public education as an English teacher, a school administrator, and an education specialist.  After about one month of retirement, I went back to work in public education at ESC, Region 20, and most recently as a school counselor.  I originally came to San Antonio when I joined the USAF and was stationed at Lackland AFB for four years.  I was married at that time and we liked living here so much that neither of us wanted to return to Iowa to live.  I have a son, Jarrod, who works for Union Pacific, and a granddaughter, Allison Leigh, who will be in the 5th grade next year.

When I'm not working, I spend my time working out at the gym, swimming, gardening, fishing, hunting, biking, playing bridge, and doing renovation projects at my home.  I am very happy to be a member of St Peter's School staff and I welcome the opportunity to work with our students as they continue to develop in their academic, social, and spiritual lives.
