Linda Loftin

I have been teaching 4th through 8th grade Spanish at St.
Peter's for the past five years.
My husband Craig and I moved to
San Antonio from
New York City where we both worked for
UNICEF global education
projects. While Craig worked with UNICEF
Nicaragua from 1989-2000, I
directed a small K-12 Catholic School in Managua. Later, when Craig transferred
to UNICEF
Brazil, I was the
principal for all English programs at the School of the Nations in Brasilia. I
have taught in elementary, special education and high schools in Iowa,
Wisconsin, Utah,
Wyoming,
Florida, and
Texas. I received my
undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and
English Literature from
Clarke College in Dubuque,
Iowa and an M.Ed in Education from the University of Washington/Seattle.
In addition to English, I speak Spanish and Portuguese.
Our daughter, Kara, just completed her residency in pediatrics in
Portland, Oregon where she will begin a fellowship in pediatric
endochrinology. Our son, Adam is a real estate developer who just moved from
New York City to continue his career in New Orleans.
